S Africa, Lanka win warm-up matches, India Vs Kiwis match today

IN THE 13th warm-up match before the ICC Cricket World Cup 2011, India will take on New Zealand at MA Chidambaram Stadium in Chennai this afternoon. Meanwhile, at Khan Shaheb Osman Ali Stadium, Fatullah warm-up match between England vs Canada match has started. After winning the toss and electing to bat first, England had lost their three wickets for 64 runs in 15 overs.
Earlier on Tuesday at M Chinnaswamy Stadium, Bangalore, South Africa won by seven wickets against Australia. After batting first team Australia were all-out for 217 runs in 47.1 overs. For the Australian side captain Ricky Ponting and his deputy Michael Clarke both score fifties. South African fast bowler Dale Steyn and spinner Robin Peterson picked three wickets each.
In reply, South Africans chased the target in 44.2 overs with the help of captain Graeme Smith and Hashim Amla fifties. The opening pair took South Africa to 131 before Smith left the crease. Defending world champion Australia has lost both warm-up matches before ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
In an another warm-up match on Tuesday, Sri Lanka won by 4 wickets against West Indies at R Premadasa Stadium, Colombo. In the allotted 50 overs, West Indies were all-out for 281 runs. Sri Lanka won the match in 47.3 overs with four wickets in hand. World Cup co-host Sri Lanka has won both the warm-up matches before ICC Cricket World Cup 2011.
In a warm-up match between south Asian nations, Pakistan and Bangladesh at Shere Bangla National Stadium, Mirpur, Pakistan won the match by 89 runs. After batting first, Pakistan set the target of 286 runs for Bangladesh with the help of brilliant hundreds of opener Ahmed Shehzad and middle-order batsman Misbah-ul-Haq.
In another warm-up match on Tuesday, Ireland won by 4 wickets against Zimbabwe and Netherlands won by 2 wickets against Kenya.
