TCS to set up Global Training Centre in Kerala

TCS has signed a lease deed for 83 acres of land and paid Rs. 75.25 crore as the initial payment the Technocity project.

IT sector of Kerala has landed a prestigious investment with TCS signing up for a mega training centre.Tata Consultancy Services is planning to invest Rs. 15 billion for Global Learning Centre project in Kerala , according to a report.TCS Rs 1,500 crore Global Learning Centre  will come up at the TechnoCity, close to the Technopark and construction is expected to start within 12 months and expected to be completed within 48 months..Chief minister VS Achuthanandan had allready handed over the order sanctioning the land at TechnoCity to TCS.

TCS S Mahalingam has said that the Global Learning centre would train and accommodate 15,000 employees at any time. The report stated that the company has signed  lease deed for 83 acres of land and paid Rs. 752.5mn as the initial down payment for the land in the Technocity project.The project is expected to generate 5lakh IT/ITeS direct/indirect jobs.
