Chief Minister Narendra Modi , Speaking at the inauguration of the mega exhibition event Vibrant Gujarat-2011 initiated in 2003, said that the bi-annual event has come a long way ahead. Global Investors summit in Gujarat has now become an international platform , a global business hub for investment alliances , many countries, potential investors.Vibrant Gujarat-2011 exhibition is spread in 33,000 sq metres at Mahatma Mandir constructed in just about half a year at a cost of over Rs.100 crores.
He also added, We started out with garnering investment for Gujarat from business industry in India and abroad but in national spirit to evolve into a platform encouraging all states ,developing and developed countries.
Vibrant Gujarat-2011 has more than 300 stalls representing various industrial sectors. It has an arts village with 33 stalls exhibiting demonstrations by artisans. Other attractions includes glimpses of technology in transportation, solar plane, metro coach, a giant 'Charkha' gate, giantwindmills generating power.
