INDIA IS going "Blue" on the eve of the final of the 42-day long ICC Cricket World Cup 2011. The frenzy of the Indian fans can be seen from the metros to small villages in every corner of India. Indian fans are chanting pithy slogans to cheer their national team saying 'Come on India!', 'Chek De! India', 'Lanka ko harana hai, World Cup hamara hai', 'East or West India is the Best', etc.
Indian fans plan to paint themselves in the tri-colour. Patriotism in Indian fans can be seen not only in common people, but also in industrialists, politicians, Bollywood celebrities, sports stars, working people, students, house wives, senior citizens, and every Indian - be it in India or abroad.
Hotels, pubs, restaurants, malls, or multiplexes - every where craze for World Cup cricket final can be seen. Many commerical establishments and housing societies are equipping themselves with large-screen screening of the India-Sri Lanka encounter.
Hotels, restaurants, and other private enterprises are attracting Indian cricket fans with tempting offers such as unlimited snacks, drinks, dinners, gifts, etc. Many offices announced either leave or half-days for employees or they have arranged a festive environment in the working place.
Indian President Pratibha Patil is likely to be present in Mumbai's Wankhede stadium to boost the Indian squad. Sri Lanka President Mahinda Rajapaksa will also be present to support his team. Some big names from the Indian business industry and film industry will also be there for cheering India and the "Men in Blue."
